Scouting Team Representative for Nigeria, Francis A. Akinremi stands as candidate for the first elections as president for the new found Nigeria Association of Football Academies. The maiden election of the association will be held on saturday, 16th of June 2007 at the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria and will witnessed by the Nigerian Sports Writers Association.

Francis Akinremi is the General Manager of FAKREM Football Academy/Club in Lagos, Nigeria, established in 1999. Francis is a Sport Administration and Management specialist and Senior lecturer /coach with the National Institute for Sports in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a member of national and international association such as Nigeria Association of Physical and Heath Education Recreation and Dance (NAPHERD) and International Council for Coach Education (ICCE).

Akinremi was the first Chairman of Senior Staff Association of National Institute for Sports from 1997-2003. He is presently contesting for the post of President of Nigeria Asssociation of Football Academies (NAFA).
